President Bola Ahmed Tinubu departs Abuja today for Europe on a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave.
This was disclosed in a statement on Sunday by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, it was reported.
The statement said that the president will stop in London, United Kingdom first.
President Tinubu is also expected to come home after the working vacation to join the hectic campaign for the January 2027 election.

This is coming a week after Vise President, Kashim Shettima, returned to Nigeria from his two weeks vacation, resuming his official duties two days before the scheduled end of his leave.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, Stanley Nkwocha, had said the break was Shettima’s first since he was sworn-in as Vise President on May 29, 2023.
He had said that the Vise President used the time for study, reflection and intellectual renewal in preparation for his continued service to the country.
According to Nkwocha, the leave period gave Shettima the opportunity to assess the ongoing government programs and broaden his understanding of emerging policy issues at the national and international levels.
