2027: APC must field its best candidates to win Bauchi — aspirant

Dr Nura Manu Soro, a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Bauchi State, has urged the national leadership of APC to ensure it settles for the best among the aspirants to win the party’s ticket in the state in 2027.

Mr Soro, who said that APC had not shut out the governorship primaries, said that he had a good relationship with the people of Bauchi across the board and this puts him in good stead to win the state for APC.

“In a statement, he said, “Fortunately the party is yet to issue a certificate of return to any aspirant; so, we are all hoping that the party will use the opportunity to give the ticket to someone that will galvanise the people of Bauchi towards voting for the party in 2027.

“We have all agreed on a consensus to support the best amongst us, so the point is that the party should honour the decision with an eye on winning the state. “The people have trust in us and we have a duty to give the people what is in their best interests” he said.

He said his advantage as a youth is that he has the energy and understanding of current trends, which puts him ahead in terms of ideas and approaches to raising the living standard of the people.

besides the physical and mental fitness, I am also aware of the current happenings across the globe. By the grace of Allah, I am a well traveled entrepreneur and business owner, so I know where to connect the dots in almost all spheres of developmental needs, where to get the best services and quality equipment be it in road construction, housing, health facilities, medical services, education, agriculture or general infrastructure.

“We’re all in the race to provide services to our people. I am on good terms with all the aspirants. We are not fighting, it is our zeal to develop the state that is pushing us.

“The one thing I keep telling them is that our ideas must be harmonised and given to that young person amongst us who has respect for all of them, who they can call and talk to as their younger brother and has the energy to implement the good ideas,” he explained.
