Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (also known as Winners Chapel), said on Sunday that God would punish bandits and their sponsors who are causing chaos all over the country.
Oyedepo made the announcement while giving a speech on “Covenant Day of Vengeance” at the church’s main office in Ota, Ogun state.
Oyedepo said that the people who are responsible for killings and kidnappings will be punished by God within the next seven days.
He also told Nigerians that they would hear “testimonies of vengeance” in the next week.
He said, “In the name of Jesus, I declare judgment on those who caused these tragedies and those who supported them.”
“This will happen in the next seven days unless I am not sent.”
In the meantime, Oyedepo recently said that there are a lot of fraudsters in the church and everywhere else.
Oyedepo said this while talking about meeting someone who was supposedly a fraudster.
During the midweek service, Oyedepo gave a sermon in which he said that a fraudster who pretended to be someone else and tried to steal money from victims was later caught.
Oyedepo said that his pictures are being used for scams and told his followers to be honest so they don’t get caught.
He said, “There was a time not too long ago when someone said they were me and that I was asking for something.
“Someone called my assistant and asked, ‘Can I talk to Bishop Oyedepo? My assistant said, “Yes, you can talk to him.”
